Egyptian startup Venduo has facilitated approximately EGP 40 million in transactions since launching its digital platform, which connects local and international fashion brands and designers with Egyptian manufacturers through a specialized B2B digital marketplace for the fashion and textile industry.

During the first six months of 2026 alone, transactions conducted through the platform reached nearly EGP 20 million, highlighting the growing role of digital transformation in connecting businesses across Egypt’s fashion manufacturing ecosystem.

Venduo Connects Fashion Brands with Egyptian Manufacturers

Khaled Solouma, Co-Founder and CEO of Venduo, said the transactions represent deals concluded between local and international brands using the platform and Egyptian manufacturers.

Venduo aims to create a digital B2B marketplace that connects brand owners and designers with manufacturers, enabling them to identify the most suitable factory to produce apparel and fashion products based on specific criteria set by each brand owner,” Solouma said.

The platform provides brands with a digital channel through which they can identify manufacturers based on their capabilities and production requirements, streamlining the process of sourcing and manufacturing fashion products locally.

8,000 Fashion Brands and 2,000 Manufacturers Join Venduo

Since its launch, Venduo has attracted more than 8,000 fashion brands and designers, along with over 2,000 manufacturers offering contract manufacturing services through the platform.

Solouma said the company aims to expand its customer base to 100,000 brands and manufacturers within the next three years.

He added that the manufacturers registered on the platform cover more than 30 different specializations, providing a comprehensive range of fashion manufacturing services across various product categories.

Venduo Supports the Formalization of Local Manufacturing

Registering manufacturers on the Venduo platform also contributes to Egypt’s efforts to integrate informal economic activities into the formal economy by providing manufacturers with access to the official business ecosystem and new commercial opportunities.

The platform seeks to strengthen connections between manufacturers and brands while supporting the development of Egypt’s local manufacturing sector through digital tools.

International Brands Account for 30% of Venduo’s Brand Base

Solouma also highlighted Venduo’s role in supporting Egyptian exports, noting that international brands currently account for approximately 30% of the total brands on the platform that collaborate with local manufacturers in Egypt.

According to Solouma, this growing participation by international brands helps strengthen Egypt’s exports of fashion and textile products to Arab markets and other regional destinations.

Venduo Promotes International Production Standards

The platform also oversees procedures aimed at ensuring that local manufacturers comply with high production standards at both the local and international levels, helping manufacturers improve product quality and meet the requirements of a wider range of brands.

“Adhering to higher standards enables Egyptian manufacturers to increase their domestic production capacity, attract more brands, create additional employment opportunities, and directly contribute to improving the local economy,” Solouma said.

He pointed to the cooperation between manufacturers listed on Venduo and several leading global brands, including Zara, Massimo Dutti, Adidas, Mango, Nike, Pull&Bear, Bershka, and DeFacto, in addition to numerous other international and local brands.

Free Access for Brands and Flexible Platform Model

Venduo enables local and international brands to access manufacturers’ databases and specifications, communicate directly with manufacturers, and define their own production criteria free of charge.

The platform generates revenue through a fixed annual subscription fee paid by manufacturers, regardless of the number of orders they receive through the marketplace.

This model is designed to facilitate access for brands while providing manufacturers with a digital channel to reach a broader customer base.

Egypt’s Fashion Market Reaches $1.56 Billion

Venduo represents a direct application of digital transformation tools in Egypt’s fashion and textile industry, one of the country’s growing economic sectors.

According to Cognitive Market Research, Egypt’s fashion market is valued at approximately $1.56 billion and is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8% through 2031.

With its expanding network of brands and manufacturers, Venduo aims to further strengthen digital connections across Egypt’s fashion manufacturing ecosystem, support local production, and create additional opportunities for Egyptian fashion and textile products to reach regional and international markets.
