ITIDA CEO Inaugurates InteLogix’s New Cairo Headquarters as Egypt’s Offshoring Sector Expands

U.S.-based outsourcing company InteLogix has officially launched its operations in Egypt, establishing a new headquarters in New Cairo to provide business process outsourcing (BPO), customer experience, and IT services to international markets, particularly the United States and Europe.

The new headquarters was officially inaugurated by Ahmed Elzaher, CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), marking a new phase in InteLogix’s expansion and highlighting Egypt’s growing role as a regional and global hub for outsourcing and offshoring services.

The inauguration was attended by Mario Baddour, President and CEO of InteLogix, and Tarek Zeidan, VP Delivery – EMEA and Managing Director of InteLogix Egypt, along with senior executives from ITIDA and InteLogix.

InteLogix Expands in Egypt Following Athear Acquisition

Headquartered in Park City, Utah, InteLogix is a U.S.-based business process outsourcing company specializing in customer experience services and a range of business support solutions.

The company’s expansion in Egypt follows its acquisition of Cairo-based Athear earlier this year. The acquisition integrated Athear into InteLogix’s global delivery network and demonstrates another model for international companies seeking to expand their operations by investing in established Egyptian businesses.

The transaction also highlights the growing diversity of investment opportunities in Egypt’s outsourcing sector, allowing multinational companies to build on existing local talent, capabilities and infrastructure while developing AI-powered and multilingual service networks for international clients.

Egypt’s Outsourcing Sector Attracts Global Investment

Ahmed Elzaher said companies considering Egypt as an outsourcing destination evaluate a combination of factors rather than relying on a single competitive advantage.

These factors include the depth of Egypt’s talent pool, the breadth of its technical skills, multilingual capabilities, scalability, operating costs and geographical proximity to major international markets.

Elzaher noted that InteLogix’s acquisition of Athear illustrates the changing nature of foreign direct investment in Egypt’s offshoring industry.

“The opportunity in Egypt is no longer confined to setting up new delivery centres,” Elzaher said. “Global companies can also invest in established local businesses, build on their talent and capabilities, and connect them to international delivery networks.”

He added that artificial intelligence and automation are reshaping the outsourcing industry, expanding the range and sophistication of services that can be delivered from Egypt while supporting a shift toward higher-value activities.

InteLogix Establishes AI-Enabled Infrastructure in Cairo

At its new Egyptian facility, InteLogix has invested in advanced technologies and established an AI-enabled infrastructure designed to support the company’s operating model and deliver services to international markets from Cairo.

The company’s operations in Egypt will include customer experience management, business process outsourcing and IT services.

InteLogix has also equipped its headquarters with AI-powered platforms from the outset to strengthen operational monitoring and support consistent service quality for its clients.

The adoption of AI-powered technologies reflects the broader transformation taking place across the global outsourcing industry, as companies increasingly integrate automation and artificial intelligence into service delivery and operational management.

InteLogix Plans to Expand Its Egyptian Operations

Mario Baddour, President and CEO of InteLogix, said choosing Egypt as the location for the company’s new operations is aligned with its strategy of establishing an operational base capable of supporting international clients while expanding its presence in the Egyptian market.

Baddour highlighted the capabilities of Egyptian professionals and the country’s linguistic diversity, which enable InteLogix to provide specialized services to clients across multiple markets.

He added that the company plans to gradually expand its operations in Egypt while increasing the range of services and international markets served from Cairo.

Workforce Expected to Grow to 1,365 Employees

Over the next three years, InteLogix plans to expand its Egyptian operations and increase the export of services delivered from its Cairo center.

As part of its expansion strategy, the company expects to increase its workforce in Egypt from approximately 135 employees currently to 1,365 employees.

The planned workforce expansion is expected to support the company’s growing international operations and increase the volume of services delivered from Egypt to overseas markets.

Egypt’s IT and Offshoring Exports Continue to Grow

InteLogix’s launch comes as Egypt’s IT export and offshoring sector continues to expand.

Offshoring export revenues reached $5.2 billion in 2025, supported by 252 export-oriented companies, including 177 multinational corporations. More than 195,000 professionals were employed in export-focused operations across Egypt.

The figures reflect Egypt’s increasing appeal as a global destination for IT outsourcing and business process outsourcing, supported by a combination of factors including its large and diverse talent pool, multilingual capabilities, scalability, geographical proximity to European and U.S. markets, and competitive operating costs.

Egypt Enables Multilingual Services From a Single Delivery Center

The combination of talent, language capabilities, geographical location and operating costs allows global companies to develop delivery models that serve multiple markets and languages from a single center.

Rather than distributing operations across several locations, companies can use Egypt as a centralized delivery hub capable of supporting customers across different geographic markets.

This model is becoming increasingly relevant as demand grows for multilingual customer experience, BPO, IT and technology-enabled services.

InteLogix Expands Its Global Outsourcing Network

InteLogix has extensive experience in the outsourcing industry and currently operates delivery centers in the United States, Canada, El Salvador, the Philippines and Egypt.

Its service portfolio includes receivables management, customer experience services, managed cybersecurity and collection solutions.

The company serves clients across a broad range of industries, including automotive, banking, financial services and insurance, government, healthcare, retail, technology and telecommunications, transportation, travel and hospitality, and utilities.

With the launch of its Egyptian operations, InteLogix is positioning Cairo as an additional delivery hub within its international network, supporting the company’s strategy of serving global markets through technology-enabled, multilingual outsourcing services.
