Nile Air and Mayfair Jets Launch 7 Direct Routes Between Europe and Hurghada to Boost Inbound Tourism to Egypt

Strategic Partnership to Support Egypt’s Tourism Vision

In line with Egypt’s national strategy to enhance inbound tourism and maximize its contribution to economic growth, Nile Air announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with Mayfair Jets to launch seven direct air routes connecting Hurghada with key European cities.

The move comes in support of the efforts led by the Egyptian government and the Ministry of Civil Aviation, headed by Dr. Sameh El-Hefny, to expand international air connectivity, open new tourism markets, and increase inbound passenger traffic to Egypt.

Seven New European Routes Connecting Hurghada

The new air network will connect Hurghada International Airport with several major European cities, including Cologne, Nuremberg, Hanover, Berlin, Erfurt, and Leipzig in Germany, as well as Zurich in Switzerland.

This expansion is expected to significantly enhance Egypt’s air connectivity with some of Europe’s most important tourism source markets, particularly in Germany and Switzerland.

The partnership reflects Nile Air’s broader strategy to expand its footprint in European markets and strengthen direct air links between Egypt’s coastal destinations and high-demand international tourism markets.

It also aligns with national efforts to increase tourist arrivals, support sustainable tourism development, and reinforce Egypt’s position as one of the world’s leading travel destinations.

Leadership Statements on the New Expansion

Ahmed Orabi, Chief Commercial Officer of Nile Air, stated that the agreement represents a major milestone in the airline’s international expansion strategy, highlighting growing confidence in Egypt’s tourism sector and the operational strength of Egyptian carriers.

He added that Germany remains one of the most important source markets for inbound tourism to Egypt, making the new routes a strategic addition to the airline’s network.

Ayman Farouk, Deputy Chief Commercial Officer of Nile Air, emphasized that the new routes are expected to increase tourist arrivals to Hurghada, one of the Red Sea’s leading destinations, known for its modern hospitality infrastructure, pristine beaches, and world-class diving attractions.

Supporting National Aviation and Tourism Growth Goals

Nile Air affirmed that the partnership supports national efforts to expand international aviation connectivity and strengthen inbound tourism flows, in coordination with Egypt’s aviation and tourism development policies.

The airline also highlighted that strategic cooperation with international tour operators and aviation partners plays a key role in driving growth across both the tourism and aviation sectors.

The company confirmed its ongoing plans to expand further into European markets and enhance direct connectivity with major Egyptian tourist destinations.
