During the 4th edition of the SITA Hotel Tech Egypt conference, held at Sofitel Cairo El Gezirah Hotel, Ehab Abdel Aal, Treasurer of the Egyptian Federation of Tourist Chambers and Treasurer of the Association for the Preservation of Cultural Tourism, was honored following his participation in the panel discussion titled “The Entry of Artificial Intelligence into the Tourism and Hotel Industry.”
The recognition highlighted Abdel Aal’s contributions to modernizing and developing Egyptian hospitality services, as well as his efforts to integrate technology with cultural heritage as part of a comprehensive vision for sustainable tourism development.
The panel, moderated by Ghadeer Shalaby, former Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, and attended by a group of experts and officials in technology, digital transformation, and hotel management, featured Abdel Aal emphasizing that artificial intelligence is a cornerstone for the future of tourism, both in enhancing the tourist experience and improving hotel management efficiency.
He called for investing in training Egyptian professionals on smart transformation tools to ensure the sector is fully prepared to embrace the technological revolution. Abdel Aal also pointed out that Egypt possesses all the elements needed to lead globally in Nile tourism, thanks to its unique cultural heritage and distinctive destinations capable of attracting a wide range of visitors.
Abdel Aal stressed the importance of leveraging AI technologies to enhance guest experiences through smart personalization, big data analysis, operational efficiency in hotels and resorts, and the development of innovative tourism products catering to diverse tourist segments.
At the conclusion of the event, Ehab Abdel Aal received a commemorative shield in recognition of his continuous support for the development of Egypt’s tourism sector, in the presence of senior hotel executives and representatives from technology and tourism
